PILBARA STUNS IN "MY HEART MY LAND" VIDEO RELEASE

THE NORTHWEST TELEGRAPH – FEB 27th 2019

A music video filmed around Port Hedland has claimed the title of music video clip of the year at the WA Country Music Awards.

Marble Bar musician Bradley Hall accepted the award on the night for the video of My Heart, My Land featuring Amber Lawrence.

Hall revealed locations used in the award-winning video included the Port Hedland Speedway and the Marble Bar turn-off.

“Most of it was shot around Hedland and around Wodgina, the mine site,” Hall said.

Hall complimented director Brock Daubert for putting together a video capable of making people homesick.

“What I said to Brock was, ‘what you’ve taken here is that love that a lot of us Pilbara people have for the country, but you can’t explain it to people who don’t live in the country ’cause all they see is just red dirt and dust’.”

During a 3am interview on Sydney radio, the landscape captured in the video amazed the announcers who told Hall how stunning the imagery was to them.

This was the second time Hall has attended the WA Country Music Awards held at the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival.
